On the 21st of February 2022, the Center for Heritage Conservation CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CHC CRDF) hosted a workshop related to our project on the topic of Policy. The event contributed to the development of one of our outcomes, a Policy Brief, aimed at authorities and relevant stakeholders in Gujarat in an effort to disseminate some research results and find future possible avenues for implementation.
સેન્ટર ફોર હેરિટેજ કન્ઝર્વેશન, CEPT રિસર્ચ એન્ડ ડેવલપમેન્ટ ફાઉન્ડેશન (CHC CRDF) એ 21મી ફેબ્રુઆરી 2022ના રોજ, પોલિસી વિષય પર અમારા પ્રોજેક્ટને સંબંધિત એક વર્કશોપનું આયોજન કર્યું હતું. આ ઇવેન્ટ દ્વારા અમારા એક પરિણામનો વિકાસ થયો છે, એક સંક્ષિપ્ત પોલિસી, જેનો હેતુ કેટલાક સંશોધન પરિણામોનો પ્રસાર કરવો અને અમલીકરણ માટે ગુજરાતમાં સત્તાવાળાઓ અને સંબંધિત હિતધારકોને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને ભાવિ સંભવિત માર્ગો શોધવાનો છે.
Special thanks to all the presenters and organisers. Dr Bernadette Devilat gave an introduction of the project, covering the aims and potential audience of the Policy Brief, and the relevance of involving three different but complementary perspectives into it: academia, government and local NGOs. From CHC CRDF, Dr Jigna Desai, Mrudula Mane and Zeus Pithawalla presented about current policies around heritage in India. From the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM), Dr Repaul Kanji, shared a relevant perspective on how the project’s methodology could be implemented by analysing current policy gaps and disaster risk management funding. From the Hunnarshala Foundation, Aditya Singh presented previous experiences of reconstruction with focus on the communities in Kutch region. Also, thanks to the CHC CRDF team and Dr Felipe Lanuza (NTU) for organising and actively participating.
તમામ પ્રસ્તુતકર્તાઓ અને આયોજકોનો વિશેષ આભાર માનવામાં આવ્યો. ડૉ. બર્નાડેટ ડેવિલાટે પ્રોજેક્ટનો પરિચય આપ્યો, જેમાં પોલિસી સંક્ષિપ્તના ઉદ્દેશ્યો અને સંભવિત પ્રેક્ષકોને આવરી લેવામાં આવ્યા, અને તેમાં શૈક્ષણિક, સરકાર અને સ્થાનિક NGO એ ત્રણ અલગ-અલગ પરંતુ પૂરક પરિપ્રેક્ષ્યોને સામેલ કરવાની સુસંગતતાને સમજાવ્યું. CHC CRDF તરફથી, ડૉ જીજ્ઞા દેસાઈ, મૃદુલા માને અને ઝિયસ પીઠાવાલાએ હેરિટેજ વિશેની ભારતમાં વર્તમાન પોલિસીઓની રજૂઆત કરી. ગુજરાત ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ ઑફ ડિઝાસ્ટર મેનેજમેન્ટ (GIDM) તરફથી, ડૉ. રેપૉલ કાનજીએ એક પરિપ્રેક્ષ્ય શેર કર્યું જેમાં કઈ રીતે વર્તમાન પોલિસી ગેપ્સ અને ડીસાસ્ટર રિસ્ક મેનેજમેંટ ફંડિંગનું વિશ્લેષણ કરીને પ્રોજેક્ટની કાર્યપદ્ધતિને અમલમાં મૂકી શકાય. હુન્નરશાળા ફાઉન્ડેશન તરફથી, આદિત્ય સિંઘે પુનઃનિર્માણના અગાઉના અનુભવો રજૂ કર્યા જેમાં કચ્છ પ્રદેશના સમુદાયોને કેન્દ્રિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. ઉપરાંત, આયોજન કરવા અને સક્રિયપણે ભાગ લેવા બદલ CHC CRDF ટીમ અને ડૉ ફેલિપ લનુઝા (NTU)નો આભાર માનવામાં આવ્યું.
