Presentation of the Disaster Risk Management Plan for Bela, by GIDM / દ્વારા બેલાના  આપત્તિ-જોખમ-વ્યવસ્થાપન યોજના ની રજૂઆત

On the morning of the 17th of February, we held activities at Bela’s School for all the community and local authorities. The activities started with laying out the 3D laser scanning map of the village of Bela, so to use it for talking and locating the spaces designed as key buildings and evacuation spaces.

17મી ફેબ્રુઆરીની સવારે, અમે તમામ સમુદાય અને સ્થાનિક સત્તાવાળાઓ માટે બેલાની શાળામાં પ્રવૃત્તિઓનું આયોજન કર્યું. પ્રવૃત્તિઓની શરૂઆત બેલા ગામનો 3D લેસર સ્કેનિંગ નકશો મૂકવાથી થઈ હતી, જેથી તેનો ઉપયોગ ઈમારતો અને ખાલી કરાવવાની જગ્યાઓની  વાત કરવા અને તેને શોધવા માટે થઈ શકે.

Then, Saatvika Pancholi and Bernadette Devilat delivered a presentation about the project, summarising what has been done thus far and inviting the community to visit the Chabutra (bird feeder), in which examples of repair and reinforcement strategies were built.

ત્યારપછી, સાત્વિકા પંચોલી અને બર્નાડેટ ડેવિલાટે પ્રોજેક્ટ વિશે પ્રેઝન્ટેશન આપ્યું, અત્યાર સુધી શું કરવામાં આવ્યું છે તેનો સારાંશ આપ્યો અને સમુદાયને ચબુત્રા (બર્ડ ફીડર) ની મુલાકાત લેવા આમંત્રણ આપ્યું, જેમાં સમારકામ અને મજબૂતીકરણની વ્યૂહરચનાઓના ઉદાહરણો બનાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

The final part of the activities was led by Shubham Daberao, from the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Risk Management (GIDM), who presented the Disaster Risk Management Plan for Bela that was developed in this last stage of the project. Local authorities, such as the Talati, Medical Staff from the Primary Health Centre, Anganwadi Workers, local officials from Bela Gram Panchayat and teachers from Shree High Secondary School, were also present.

પ્રવૃત્તિઓના અંતિમ ભાગનું નેતૃત્વ ગુજરાત ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ ઑફ ડિઝાસ્ટર રિસ્ક મેનેજમેન્ટ (GIDM) ના શુભમ ડાબેરાવ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જેમણે પ્રોજેક્ટના આ છેલ્લા તબક્કામાં વિકસાવવામાં આવેલ બેલા માટે ડિઝાસ્ટર રિસ્ક મેનેજમેન્ટ પ્લાન રજૂ કર્યો હતો. સ્થાનિક સત્તાવાળાઓ, જેમ કે તલાટી, પ્રાથમિક આરોગ્ય કેન્દ્રના તબીબી સ્ટાફ, આંગણવાડી કાર્યકરો, બેલા ગ્રામ પંચાયતના સ્થાનિક અધિકારીઓ અને શ્રી ઉચ્ચ માધ્યમિક શાળાના શિક્ષકો પણ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા.

Thanks to all who attended these activities, designed to raise awareness about emergency actions and mitigation strategies, in order to develop preparedness for the next earthquake.
